I was educated in an artistic mosphere between music and painting. I started studying ceramics with Angelina Alós (period 1977-1981). I continued sculpture with the teacher Enric Cots (period 1981-1986), working in the sculptor's studio of the artist Rosa Martinez Brau.
During these last fifteen years I have collaborated with the Art Gallery called NOU-CENTS, and where I have work in a permanent exhibition.
My first exhibitions dated from 1994, Sabadell, Barcelona, Esplugas de Llobregat, Sant Llorenç de Morunys (Lleida), etc. I recognize that I feel more identified with clay than with any other material, however noble it is; it's with clay that I better express my feelings: tenderness, love, serenity, simplicity, and at the same time vitality and realism, although I'm not always satisfied with the result.
I have collaborated in many collective exhibitions, among them the ones organized by the Sculptor's Association of Catalonia.
The world of Art is so passionate for all the people who love it, that you see yourself immersed into it, imbued inside a big hurricane that carries away everything and transport you through time.
In my opinion, sculpture is terracotta; it's its essence, its mystery, its life. Afterwards, the ending can be different, it doesn't matter if I put the soul of my concerns into the material of my formal exercises. My work could be defined as Mediterranean, sensual, with XIX century connotations, but always unadorned, human, straight to the spectator. Although, it's for me difficult to select among my works, “Reflexió" and “Serenor" are two examples where both my taste for the feminine forms and all the aforementioned characteristics are reflected.
