Abigail Lazkoz is a Spanish artist and was born in 1972 in Bilbao. She studied fine arts at the University of the Basque Country. She now splits her time between Bilbao and Brooklyn.

Abigail Lazkoz works on a large scale, on walls or enormous canvases. She paints in black and white, introducing the illusion of a third dimension into her work. Her art enables her to dominate space and to make it malleable. She makes her paintings correspond to their surrounding environment. Objects and sculptures match each other, creating a sort of visual echo.
