Biography
The painter Ruben Martin de Lucas was born in 1977 in Madrid. He studied engineering (roads, canals and ports) in Madrid before deciding to focus on art, particularly painting.
Heavenly landscapes, turquoise seas and houses on stilts are key elements in Ruben Martin de Lucas’ artwork. His observations of the landscape and humans’ appropriating behavior in their surroundings are at the heart of his work.
Along with other artists, he founded the urban art group “Boa Mistura” and has contributed to several Biennales: in Panama, Havana and Venice.
