Javier Tudanca Pérez

Since 1979 Javier Tudanca manages a family workshop established in 1929 by his grandfather, who almost since his childhood, worked with the curator of the Cathedral of Burgos. Great works, that have reached a relevant professional importance, have merged from this workshop.

Artists working at Tudanca Workshops are one of the most prominent, especially in the field of religious sculpture of this Country.

He is an expert in restoration of artworks due to his academic training at the National Restoration Center.
He is also an expert in classical techniques, he has derived the works of the workshop towards painting and sculpture on different mediums; like marble, bronze, ivory and fundamentally, on wood.

It is difficult to choose from the huge number of works that have emerged from under his hands, but they all stand out for their importance.

This collection presents unreleased previously works of "small format" made on a whim during his personal leisure.

The sculptures, which are part of his private collection, convey the peace and serenity with which they were conceived.
