David Casals is a Spanish artist born in 1976 in Centelles in the area of Barcelona, Spain. He obtained a Barchelors degree in Fine Arts and then a degree of advanced studies in painting from the University of Barcelona.
His paintings are realistic and impregnated by liricism. His palette is mainly composed of cold colors in his depictions of still life and landscapes with an almost mystical effect and with the systematic presence of fog.
He has received numerous prizes such as the prize of the Barcelo Foundation in Palma de Mallorca, the Sala Pares Award for young painters, the Valenti prize of Sant Pere de Ribes and the first prize of the eleventh edition of the painting prize Malon of Echiade in Navarra.
His work has been exhibited in numerous solo exhibitions in Spain in Barcelona, Madrid and Girona.
