Biography
José Luis Álvarez Vélez is a multidisciplinary Basque artist whose emblem is the phrase of John Stuart Mill referring to the fact that "art is an effort towards the perfection of execution". Indeed, what he seeks in the creation of his work is that incomparable plastic truth and sensitivity that solve the problem of destruction and death through an inexhaustible aesthetic source.
And with this, it reverts the experience on itself to transform it into imagination and art. In short, it is a unique and singular example in the wide artistic spectrum of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century in Spain.
