Biography
Sophie Taeuber-Arp is a Swiss sculptor, born in 1889.
She studied art in several institutions between Munich and Hamburg. Sophie is Jean Arp's wife, a famous artist. She and her husband are part of the Dada years in the 20's in Zurich, she also teaches at the Decorative Art College in Zurich.
Sophie Taeuber-Arp's geometric work belongs to the Abstraction-creation movement, they are a lot like the researches of Théo Van Doesburg, a master of geometric-abstraction.
