Biography
Nicholas Simenon is an art photographer living in Switzerland.
Nicholas works on his black and white street photography. His work deals with the loneliness and isolation that one regularly feels in big cities. This aesthetic is reinforced by the play of large, deep shadows, and the difference in scale between the subjects and their environment. It is in this capacity that Leica Switzerland trusted it at the start of 2020 to promote the release of the third generation of the Leica Monochrom, the M10M.
He has exhibited solo in Paris, at the Chambre Avec Vue gallery, and has exhibited in groups in New York, at FIT and the INNside hotel, in San Diego, at the Bodega Gallery, and in Saint Tropez at the Salle Jean Footsteps.
His work has appeared in the Spring 2019 editions of the journal 30 North, and Prairie Margins 2019, as well as on the cover of Gandy Dancer's Fall 2019 edition. He participated in the 2019 Pingyao International Photography Festival, China.
Nicholas was the winner of the Grand Prix de la Photographie de Saint-Tropez 2019, “Young Talent” category. The winning photograph was part of a voluntary auction for the association “Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque”.
Since May 2019, he has collaborated with Samsung Mobile USA, as part of the TeamGalaxy Creator program.
