Biography
One of the original Young British Artists, Marcus Harvey is an English artist and painter, born in Leeds in 1963. Having trained at the Leeds College of Art and London’s infamous Goldsmiths College, the artist attracted the attention of British gallery owner Charles Saatchi. Harvey’s style is distinctive in its depiction of political figures, pornographic subjects and, particularly memorably, British serial killers.
His work has been permanently featured in galleries across the globe, including at the Saatchi Gallery in London, The Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and the Goss-Michael Foundation of Contemporary British Art in Texas.
