One third of British band The Prodigy, Maxim is known for a fierce style of art that explores the darker side of humanity.

Maxim turned to painting over 17 years ago after feeling inspired to fill his own home with unique artwork. Choosing to keep his career as a musician and artist separate, he began releasing his paintings under the moniker MM. He has since gone on to exhibit at several successful solo shows in London and L.A. and has become a highly sought after and respected visual artist.

“I wanted my art to be accepted in its own right and was worried about being criticized as a musician trying to be an artist. All of the work is just me; whether it's art or music. In music, you are always aiming for perfection, you're never 100% happy. Art is much more liberating than that; even mistakes can be beautiful."

Working in a range of mixed media from original paintings and print work to sculpture, Maxim often incorporates found objects such as bullets, blades and pills to give the artwork an edge that is distinctly Maxim.
