Biography

Artist Statement:

I started my artistic career with collage making using acrylic paints and paper on canvas. The collage technique is a suitable way to convey abstract messages and values such as my love of people and their vast abilities and aspirations.

A few years later, I discovered the encaustic medium (Beeswax and pigment). Using beeswax to create collages improved my ability to layer my art, give it depth and achieve more texture. I was truly thrilled with this discovery.

My interested lays with human beings as individuals. I celebrate the freedom we have to express ourselves, and explore the boundaries we encounter. Inspired by individuals who use their mind to think and to solve problems, I expresses and celebrates the human's seemingly endless ability. My work conveys the abstract subjects of thoughts and mind work, connections and consequences with in and between people. My art is an invitation to explore how thoughts are formed, how concepts are grasped, how decisions are made and how actions are a consequence of thoughts.

Education:

Self taught

Artistic Influences:

I am inspired by thinking individuals, whether it is inventors and innovators, doctors, writers, artists or friends- People who are truly independent thinkers are my inspirations.
