For many years the paintings have utilized influences from diverse stylistic formats such as Classical ornamentation, gestural abstraction, geometric minimalism, as well as figurative representation. The paintings, sculptures, and architecture of Italy, France and Western Europe have provided inspiration for many of these works through the years. Theatrical lighting, and the poetically dramatic narratives in so much of Renaissance Art have been highly inspirational and influential for many decades in the work contained on this site.

I engage to present a symphony of form, light, gesture, and color, woven together to form a psychologically complex space in the paintings, rich with poetic substance. While interpretations of the paintings are as varied as the layering of the materials used to make them, I hope they can be seen as substantive and powerful orchestration's, often navagating a mystical and mysterious form of musical improvisations.
