Razmakhnina is a contemporary artist whose work operates at the intersection of drawing and painting.

Her practice reinterprets visual motifs from historical European art—particularly the Pre-Raphaelites, as well as Baroque and Rococo painting—translating them into a contemporary, expressive language. Rather than quoting these traditions directly, Razmakhnina transforms familiar cultural images into lighter, more playful, and sometimes deliberately irreverent compositions.

She works with oil pastel, charcoal, and watercolor, intentionally using ready-made colors without blending them. This approach preserves immediacy, spontaneity, and a sense of aliveness—that defines her visual language.
