Sasha Snegir (b. 1988, Minsk, Belarus) is a Belarusian artist and curator whose practice spans painting, drawing, installation, performative objects, and multisensory art. Since 2016, she has participated in more than 40 group exhibitions, presented nine solo exhibitions, and curated six exhibition projects. Her work has been shown at the Museum of Russian Art in Yerevan, the State Darwin Museum in Moscow, the National Center for Contemporary Arts and Palace of Arts in Minsk, and internationally in Germany, Italy, Hungary, Armenia, France, and Spain.
At the center of Sasha Snegir’s practice is unconditional love, understood not as a subject but as a way of paying attention to ourselves, others, and the world around us. She explores perception, memory, emotional transformation, relationships, and the shift from observation toward presence.
Sasha Snegir developed FRAIMMart, an original methodology combining painting with natural essential oils, stones, symbolic elements, and other materials. Visual, olfactory, tactile, and symbolic experiences become parts of a single work, allowing art to operate beyond sight alone.
Across intimate portraits, landscapes, objects, and installations, Sasha Snegir creates spaces for personal encounter rather than fixed interpretation. Her work asks how art can move from something we simply look at toward something we physically and emotionally experience.
