Polina Iamshell

Iamshell is a contemporary artist and singer-songwriter. Her work has been presented internationally, including World Art Dubai (2024) and exhibitions at Art Point Dubai, Dubai International Art Center, Reem Art Gallery, and Picasso Gallery. In 2025, Picasso Gallery presented her solo exhibition in Dubai. She received the Best Expressionist Artist award at the Artistic Luminary Awards in Dubai in 2024, and her painting Bull was featured in Gulf News the same year.

Iamshell works primarily in acrylic, creating vibrant abstract paintings shaped by her parallel practice in music. Trained as a vocalist and active as a singer-songwriter, she approaches painting through rhythm, improvisation, and emotional response. Ideas are allowed to develop intuitively on the canvas, much as sound and feeling unfold through music.

Bold color, energetic gestures, and light, spontaneous marks define her visual language. Rather than using abstraction to describe specific subjects, Iamshell treats it as a way to express sensations that resist verbal explanation.

At the center of her practice is an intentionally affirmative view of life. Her paintings explore joy, playfulness, freedom, and presence, translating the emotional energy of music into color and movement. She seeks to create works that do not simply represent optimism, but make it physically felt through rhythm, color, and gesture.
