American artist, internationally famous, Lance Letscher lives and works in Austin, Texas.
The collage is his favorite technique. He uses wood, marble, old books, old papers, and develops poetic and complex collages to create very dynamic images in which the pleasure and the harmony of colors are expressed. Letscher cuts and assembles with great precision pieces of old books and old letters, school books, recipes, album covers, into new, abstract works.
His growing reputation brough him to England, France, Germany, Poland and Spain. In 2009, his monographe Collage is published by the University of Texas Press. His works have been acquired by the Museum of Art in Austin and the Museum of Art in Houston.
