Julio Reyes is a painter born in Hollywood in 1982.
He grew up on the coast of California, its solar aesthetics inundate his work.
After having had the opportunity to be a professional football player, Julio Reyes turned to his first passion, art. He graduated from the Laguna College of Art and Design in 2005 and studied painting and drawing and a minor in sculpture.
Julio Reyes paints realistic portraits. A certain gloominess emerges from his personages. The artist draws his inspiration from reality and represent intimate dramas giving a melancholic tone with a dreamlike touch to his work.
His work has been exhibited all around the world and Julio Reyes has been awarded with numerous prizes such as the ARC 2014 International Salon Competition.
