Biography

Tokyo-born Alex Reagan is an emerging artist and eco-fashion
designer based in Venice, California. Self-taught, Alex Reagan spent his
formative years in Aspen, Colorado, experimenting with materials in his
makeshift home studio.

Reagan
is known for his improvised approach that is driven by a strong and spontaneous
vision. Heavily influenced by Contemporary Street Art, as well as his creative heroes
Jean-Michel Basquiat and Robert Rauschenberg, Reagan has gravitated towards
large-scale multimedia compositions, often incorporating print and text.

Reagan's
experimentation with materials and eagerness to elevate his style makes each
work he creates unique. Valuing eco-friendly fashion and the revitalization of
common materials, Reagan uses an amalgamation of street wear, pop culture, and
elevated materials to create characters drowning in fashion. His canvases burst
with, as he likes to say, “controlled chaos," indicative of the pop culture and
social media-driven world we live in.
