Peter Opheim

Peter Opheim is an American artist born in Germany in 1961 and living and working between New York and San Cristobal in the state of New Mexico in the United States.

An original abstract artist, he then decided to change direction and create a more unusual and provocative form of expression. Thus was born his new universe made up of characters from his imagination. Small animals of irregular shapes in reference to the world of childhood and its fears.

Peter Opheim has had the opportunity to present his work in personal and group exhibitions around the world. He has exhibited in Russia, Taiwan, Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles.

His work has also been widely exhibited at major contemporary art fairs, including Scope Art Fair New York, Pulse Art Fair Miami, Cosmoscow Art Fair, Art Shanghai and Seoul Open Art Fair.
