Leslie Merrill

Artist Leslie Merrill is a self-taught abstract expressionist. Painting since she was a child, her artwork is created with luminous color, energy and texture.  Every canvas is charged with its own spirit, evoking the joy, gratitude and spirituality which are at the very core of her essence.  

“For me, creating art, whether it's on canvas, a pair of pants or even a piece of jewelry is transcendental, and it gives me a sense of freedom I've never felt working in television and film.  I'm so blessed to live and create in a peaceful, natural environment, and with my pets always by my side, the energy and emotion just flow through the strokes."

Leslie is an award-winning television host with more than three decades of experience in the media and entertainment industry. Starting her career as a television news anchor in multiple markets, her work ranges from national television shows and supporting film roles to international voiceover work and more.

Leslie was born in Louisville Kentucky, has made nine state-to-state moves with work, and now lives in Dallas Texas with her beloved four-legged family.  Her son and daughter-in-law live in Cincinnati with their beautiful newborn baby girl, Charlotte Grace.  

Her paintings are hanging in private collections throughout the US and Canada.
