Sheila Nicolin

Sheila Nicolin is a Detroit-based painter with an emphasis on portraiture and pattern, whose work explores the very human struggle to find intimate connection. She is a PLAYGROUND DETROIT 20/20 Emerging Artists Fellow 2020, and in 2021 had her debut solo exhibition at UUU Art Collective in Rochester, NY and an artist residency at Google.

She is a graduate from College for Creative Studies (2018). Her work has been showcased by booooooom, Supersonic Art and The Metropolitan, and worked with clients including The Platform, Broder & Sachse, and Walmart.
