Bruce Andrew Block

Bruce Block is a self-taught photographer who relocated to Portland, Oregon in the late 1990's and discovered a love of the natural world and beauty in it inspired by his surroundings. He originally was a process engineer in high technology with a speciality in optics and he applies much of his experience to his current work. He started shooting stock photography in 2007 and has recently expanded into fine art contemporary photography. Combining traditional photographic techniques with digital processing he enjoys creating images that transform the mundane into something vibrant and interesting.
