Biography

Brain Momba born 1991 in Raffingora and based in Harare is a Zimbabwean self-taught visual artist working primarily in pastels and charcoal. His style fuses surrealism and realism, blending human figures and portraits with nature-inspired symbolism. Celebrating women's beauty, hairstyles, and haircare, his works carry emotional depth and narrative strength. With a Diploma in Education from Belvedere Technical Teachers' College, Momba now teaches Art & Design at Kutama College, guiding students in drawing, painting, and mixed media. He continues to refine his craft through experimentation, advancing traditional techniques while embracing innovative expression.
