Wool tapestry, IGP Aubusson-Felletin
Weaving in plain weave in 9 passes and in double weave. Warp in wool, silk and cotton on cotton warp. Dyes entrusted to regional dyers. Authenticity label signed by the Master weaver sewn on the reverse of the tapestry.
At the head of the Atelier Bernet, in Felletin, Catherine Bernet likes to push creation by mixing respect for technical tradition and contemporary creation. In this exceptional piece, she touches upon the question of volume twice: volume in the weaving itself through the play of materials and stitches, volume also in the convex shape of the whole.
