Realidad forzada, 2020

José Antonio Fondevila

A delicate tension defines this 2020 composition. The artist explores the boundary between the material and the ethereal. A vessel emerges from a muted grey void. Its form is fluid and organic. Deep teals and emerald greens blend into translucent blues. Sharp black lines carve through the volume. These strokes create a complex internal architecture. They suggest a fragmented reality held together by a fragile shell.
The composition reaches upward. Slender stems rise from the opening. Small white flowers bloom against the neutral background. These botanical elements introduce a sense of quiet hope. They contrast with the chaotic energy of the central form. The technique employs pastel and tinted varnish. This combination creates a soft yet luminous surface. The artwork avoids traditional representation. It favors a conceptual language of emotion and self-knowledge. Every line feels intentional. Every color shift evokes a specific mood. The result is a poetic meditation on existence. The piece rests on a dark textured base. Tiny white specks scatter across the floor like fallen petals.
