Description
Maker of images, un-maker of tangles, surrogate of chimeras, Claire Courdavault began with the tenuous format of a sheet of paper to gain grandeur by investing in walls. His inner world is now displayed on the walls of the city. The image at the heart of his practice, whatever its form.
Her work is built on the juxtaposition of details, the entanglement of stories, and the appeal of the sacred.
Emerging from a strange and inner gestation, his design creates other phantasmagorical worlds, a new kind of garden of delights with the image of the Woman as its central concern.
