Description
Michel Macréau, born July 21, 1935 in Paris and died November 19, 1995 in Laignes, is a French painter. Considered a precursor of the artistic movement of free figuration, he is in line with art brut artists such as Jean Dubuffet for example who painted characters in a rudimentary way using a few strokes, mainly aiming for expression. characters. Macréau proceeds in the same way and does not hesitate to superimpose bodies and faces without apparent logic.
