Description
This colorful and vibrant artwork depicts a unique character, dressed in eccentric clothing, brimming with originality. Wearing a blue coat and scarf, the character holds scrolls, symbols of quest or knowledge. His dynamic posture evokes movement and determination. Behind, an ornate green lantern offers a touch of mystery and elegance, contrasting with the illuminated yellow paving stones. A winding path and golden stars add a dreamlike dimension, while the red and green accents create a striking visual balance. The artist uses a bold style, blending precise details and fantasy, capturing the viewer's imagination. This fantastical scene invites us to explore a world where reality and dreams blend harmoniously, highlighting the work's unparalleled creativity.
Presentation
Born in 1975, Pinkhas defines himself as an heir to the Jewish School of Paris, with an expressionist and naive style.
His atypical career path combines a doctorate in medicine and training in dramatic art (Cours Florent, Academy Oscar Sisto). In parallel with his more academic figurative work, Pinkhas is developing a series of conceptual works with the recurring element of the gold ingot. Small "precision", the artist wishes to stage only real gold bars.
This work is done from two angles:
The Gold Up series, featuring ingots in safes, targets of a robbery and The Hidden Gold series having fun staging said ingots in more surprising situations. The most representative version is undoubtedly the collection entitled: “How much do you Pez? ”, Where The famous candy distributor delivers real ingots as a provocative praise to the unbridled consumer society.
