Description
This painting presents a delicate silhouette drawn in blue against a light background. The work is distinguished by the bold and fluid use of watercolor, creating an enigmatic and ethereal face. Minimalist contours blend with shades of deep blue, evoking both tranquility and mystery. The features are sketched with a subtle white line that contrasts harmoniously with the background, adding an intriguing dimension. The composition exudes an organic fluidity reminiscent of the ever-changing nature of water. Each brushstroke seems calculated to instill a pure and contemplative emotion. The artist succeeds in capturing the essence of the silhouette while leaving ample room for personal interpretation. This work is created using a unique technique: cyanotype.
Presentation
Painter and visual artist.
Born in Nuremberg in 1969, her artistic vocation was obvious and came naturally to her. She studies fashion design between 1988 and 1991, and took in parallel various plastic art courses in Paris, then in Salzburg and Hamburg. When Nina Urlichs started her artistic career, in 1998, her universe and her pictorial language were already formed. She began producing paintings but very quickly, her research on transparency lead her to experiment with gauze textiles, an original media that broadened her reflection on prints and movement.
She has shows regularly in France (Paris, Troyes, Nantes, Lyon... ), in Germany, Austria, Italy... She has been living in France for many years, and today she lives and works between Germany and her workshop in the Marais district in Paris.
