Description
The Insatiable One: Surreal Blue Creature and Snake Artwork
Explore a surreal blue creature artwork with symbolic snakes and a golden sphere, an evocative choice for a contemporary collection. “The Insatiable One" (37 x 26 cm / 14.5 x 10 in) is an original oil artwork on professional paper, composed with richly textured strokes and a bold field of luminous ochre yellow. At its center, a pale-faced figure lies curled around a glowing orb, framed by a pointed navy star that reads like a halo, mask, or protective shell. Three elongated snake heads rise behind the body, introducing tension, movement, and a sense of relentless thought. Born from a vivid dream, this expressive scene is a visual allegory of greed and human desire. The guarded sphere speaks of possession, while the serpents become signs of attachment and the inner struggles that accompany it. Blue, deep navy, rust, ivory, and gold create a striking color dialogue that will animate a modern living space, creative workspace, or eclectic wall arrangement. Its intimate scale and layered symbolism appeal to collectors of dreamlike figurative art, spiritual imagery, and psychologically charged contemporary work. It is also an original and meaningful gift for someone drawn to art with a story.
Presentation
Nata Sakti is a contemporary figurative artist whose work explores the inner world of women through archetypes, mythology, and spiritual symbolism. Born into a traditional Altai family with shamanic roots, she carries ancestral narratives of strength, ritual, and feminine wisdom into her artistic practice.
After graduating with honors from art school in 1992, she was encouraged to pursue a different path, becoming first a police officer and later a lawyer. Yet the feeling of separation from her creative nature led her toward spiritual and psychological study. She became certified in Buddhist philosophy and psychology, trained in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, and founded the women's club “Secrets of Femininity" in 2010, dedicated to archetypal exploration and fairytale therapy.
Since 2021, Nata Sakti has lived and worked in Bali, Indonesia, where she paints primarily in oil. Her works depict female figures not as portraits, but as archetypal embodiments—Warrior, Witch, Goddess, Wild Woman, Celestial Dancer. Through mythology, global folklore, and Balinese spiritual culture, she reveals the psychological and symbolic dimensions of womanhood.
Her visual language combines sensual realism with mythic atmosphere. The female body becomes a vessel of duality—strength and softness, earthly presence and divine essence. Her current long-term project, The Era of Woman, reflects on feminine power, sexuality, cultural tradition, and the evolving role of women in contemporary society.
Nata Sakti's works have been presented in Barnaul, Russia (2021), and Bali (2023). A portion of her art sales supports Villa Kitty Foundation, reflecting her commitment to compassion in practice as well as imagery.
Through archetypal figurative painting, Nata Sakti builds a bridge between myth and modern identity—inviting viewers into a symbolic space where every woman is seen as both human and divine.
