Description
This print explores the dialogue between nature and abstraction. Precise pencil strokes provide structure to the composition, while watercolor adds a subtle, ethereal luminosity. Vertical lines reach upward toward a pale sky. The work is executed on a linden wood panel, mounted with hemp paper.
The center becomes denser with a cluster of vegetation in vibrant, tangy hues. Yellow and green dominate the foreground, while a violet band anchors the scene horizontally. The transparency of the pigments creates an airy sense of depth; the eye wanders between suggested roots and slender treetops. The chromatic balance evokes a serene atmosphere.
This abstract landscape plays with the lightness of watercolor washes.
The composition relies on a contrast between graphic rigor and painterly fluidity. Areas of the paper are left blank, enhancing the clarity of the image. A discreet signature appears in the lower-right corner.
