The Oil painting on Canvas titled “House among greenery" immerses the viewer into a serene, almost idyllic corner of the natural world, where a humble dwelling seems to merge seamlessly with the lush surroundings. At the heart of the scene rests a small house, painted with tones of lavender and soft earthy colors, whose simple, rustic presence feels both fragile and eternal. It is nestled within a sea of dense foliage, embraced by tall trees whose abundant leaves form a protective canopy. The house does not stand apart from nature but becomes part of it, as if it grew out of the earth and was gently woven into the fabric of the landscape. The artist employs expressive, textured brushstrokes with a generous use of impasto, creating a tactile surface that captures the vibrancy and dynamism of living nature. Each leaf, each branch, and each patch of grass is not meticulously detailed but suggested through bold, overlapping layers of color. This technique allows the scene to pulse with energy, as though the very air within the painting is alive. The foliage is depicted in myriad shades of green, ranging from deep emerald to light chartreuse, with occasional touches of yellow, blue, and purple, adding richness and depth. These variations suggest the play of light as it filters through the treetops, scattering across the forest floor and illuminating the house with an ethereal glow. In the foreground, wildflowers and grasses grow freely, painted with rapid, joyful strokes. Yellows, oranges, and hints of red peek out from the sea of green, adding warmth and contrast to the cooler tones of the trees and shadows. The ground feels uneven, organic, and alive, filled with textures that invite the viewer to imagine the scent of earth and the sound of rustling leaves. This sense of sensory immersion extends throughout the composition, making the viewer feel not like an observer but a participant within this natural refuge. The background rises into a sky painted in soft purples and blues, giving a dreamy atmosphere to the entire canvas. The sky is only partially visible, obscured by the towering branches that dominate the composition, yet it provides a gentle sense of openness and infinity. The interplay between the enclosed shelter of trees and the distant vastness of the sky suggests a balance between protection and freedom, intimacy and expansiveness.

Works by Boris Serdyuk are held in museums in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, European countries, the USA, Israel, and other countries.
In 2018, the artist entered the global art space of the creative platform in New York, where seven of his works were included in the catalog "Painting & Graphics."
Currently lives and works in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region.
Took his first steps in the world of visual arts within the walls of his local school, then studied at Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and started working as a drawing and painting teacher.
Later, he realized that for an artist, creative freedom is essential. Thus, after seventeen years of teaching, he left the profession to focus on his creative work. The artist is content to have the opportunity to engage in his beloved craft, which he considers the meaning of his life.
His journey had its ups and downs, victories in competitions, and recognition from admirers, yet he never ceased his determined quest for his artistic path. In ancient times, "serdyuk" referred to professional infantrymen in the Cossack ranks. This heritage likely passed down not only the surname but also many Cossack traits to the artist, including hard work, modesty, and human dignity.
Boris Serdyuk creates in genres such as portrait, landscape, and thematic composition. His works are varied, reflecting the artist's impressions of the places he visited. Among them are picturesque corners of Kremenchuk and Dnipro views, urban and maritime landscapes, the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, and cozy Ukrainian villages. His canvases are intriguing in terms of color and relatively compositionally perfect, revealing the life of nature at the time of their execution.
There are also commissioned portraits and paintings, such as "Shevchenko in Baturyn." He spent over a year working on it, studying the architecture of the former hetman capital. However, the artist prefers to work swiftly, capturing the vision of a painting before it fades from his mind and before the sun changes its angle and shadows. On average, according to the artist, he spends about 40 minutes on a single landscape.
Boris successfully combines a poetic perception of the world and a deep understanding of nature with brilliant artistic execution. His paintings exude a special light and a delicate sense of nature – vivid colors on the canvas resonate with intermediate tones. The artist has abandoned contours, replacing them with separate and contrasting brushstrokes; his paintings amaze with colors, not only their diversity but also the amount of substance applied to the canvas – vibrant, vivid, voluminous.
Describing the master's works is a challenging task. Boris Serdyuk's works are special – they are painted with soul. One must see and feel the wonderful harmony of nature on the artist's canvases firsthand and touch the great mystery of Art.
