Description
In this work, Stéfanie Raus unfolds a minimalist and gestural visual language where the fluidity of lines interacts with the rigor of composition. On a warm, matte brown background, thick, supple, and continuous white strokes intertwine to form a labyrinthine network. The artist here explores the tension between control and spontaneity: each line appears both calculated and free, evoking a sense of perpetual motion.
The deliberately visible paint splatters enhance the organic dimension of the canvas and recall the artist's gesture at the very moment of creation. This combination of geometric rigor and the vitality of gesture gives the work a presence that is at once graphic and meditative.
This acrylic on canvas perfectly reflects Stefanie Raus's approach, where abstraction becomes a field of sensory and emotional experimentation, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in the meanders of the lines and to rediscover their own inner rhythm.
Presentation
Stefanie Raus is a self-taught artist from the Black Forest. She was born in 1976 and is known for her delicate paintings, mainly with a touch of gold leaf and a solid structure. Collectors of your works live in Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, the Czech Republic, France and Germany. She has already sold numerous works in the United States through her listing at Saatchi Art. Her paintings have been exhibited at home and abroad. In 2024, she was awarded first place in the Kunst Online art prize.
