The Oil painting on Cardboard titled “Boats on the rocky shore" is a vivid celebration of the interplay between natural beauty and human presence, framed within a coastal landscape where the sea meets rugged cliffs. The artist captures a scene of striking contrasts: the solidity of the rocky shoreline painted in earthy reds, pinks, and violets, and the fluid, shimmering expanse of turquoise-blue water that stretches outward in gentle waves. This dynamic duality becomes the core of the composition, inviting viewers to feel both the weight of the earth and the lightness of the sea. The towering cliffs on the left dominate the canvas with their massive vertical presence, rendered in bold, textured strokes that emphasize their weathered surfaces. The rocks shift in tone from deep crimson to softer lilac and beige, suggesting the play of sunlight against mineral layers. Despite their weight, the cliffs do not feel oppressive but instead provide a dramatic stage for the life unfolding around them. Zhitomir artist Suprunchuk Yuri Sergeevich Born on April 11, 1961, in the city of Zhitomir. Graduated from the Zheleznogorsk Art School, Russia (1982). Teachers in the specialty: V. Chukuev, E. Nikulin. Painter. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2002). Major works: "Near the house" (2005), "Winter on the outskirts of Zhitomir" (2006), "Autumn still life" (2004). Lived and worked in the city of Zhitomir.
