The Oil painting Cardboard titled "House by the sea" beautifully captures the harmony of human life with the vastness of nature, presenting a tranquil scene where architecture, water, and landscape blend into a single poetic vision. The composition centers on a small, sunlit house with warm beige walls and a red-tiled roof, positioned right at the water's edge. Its modest yet charming presence conveys simplicity and comfort, suggesting a home built not for grandeur, but for closeness to the sea and its rhythms. The artist creates a vivid atmosphere of coastal serenity, where every brushstroke reflects both intimacy and expansiveness. The foreground draws the viewer immediately toward the water, rendered in luminous blues and deep turquoise, with reflections shimmering across the surface. A small wooden boat floats quietly, tethered to the shore, its calm presence echoing the gentle stillness of the sea. This vessel serves as a reminder of human connection with the ocean—whether for fishing, travel, or simply the rhythm of daily life lived beside the tides. The water itself mirrors the sky and surrounding cliffs, painted in smooth yet textured strokes, creating both depth and a sense of infinite continuity. To the right of the scene, the house stands embraced by nature, with an old, sturdy tree leaning protectively toward it. Its branches, painted with a vibrant array of greens and earthy browns, stretch into the azure sky, casting subtle shadows on the walls below. The thick brushstrokes used for the foliage contrast with the smoother application of paint on the sky and water, giving the tree vitality and strength. It becomes both a guardian of the home and a link between the land and the heavens above. At the entrance of the house, a figure emerges—likely a woman, dressed in a modest outfit, holding a basket. She appears in mid-action, perhaps engaged in the quiet routines of daily life, which anchor the painting in realism while enriching its narrative dimension. This human presence imbues the work with warmth, turning the house from a silent structure into a lived-in, beloved dwelling. Her position on the threshold, half in the world of domestic life and half open to the vast seascape, symbolizes the balance between inner and outer worlds.
