Description
This vibrant artwork showcases a bustling urban scene against a dynamic skyline. In the foreground, a classic streetcar, vibrant with orange and green hues, glides past pedestrians and a dog, adding a nostalgic touch. To its left, a distinctive bus stop brims with movement and interaction. The mid-ground features colorful one-story buildings, each with unique facades housing varied shops, infusing life into the street. Bicyclists and a vendor cart add to the lively street activity. Towering behind, a diverse array of skyscrapers reflects modern architectural styles, emphasized by patterned facades and cranes signaling ongoing development. The artwork juxtaposes the energy of everyday life with the grandeur of the evolving cityscape, creating a captivating snapshot of urban existence. This piece is a testament to the harmony of tradition and progress within a city's fabric.
Presentation
It was born in 1976 in São Paulo,
Capital. At the age of 15 he moved to the Paulista coast, fixed
residency in Guarujá and from 1996 onwards began his various
professional experiences, initially as sailor and student of
architecture. In this period he carries out artistic works focused on
drawing and photography, also participates in cultural movements in
Olinda, Pernambuco.
From 1997 begins to paint their first screens. As an
intern at the Instituto Lina Bo and Maria Pietro Bardi, in the year
2000, she had direct contact with the important collection of art of her
acquis, experience that influenced her training. Concludes the
graduation in architecture and urbanism in 2001. In 2003, he assumes the
painting as a profession and makes his first art direction in the film
in a short film titled "The Man of the Woods", 16mm/18 ' '/2005,
award-winning film director Antonio Carrilho. In 2005 he debuted in
exhibitions as a finalist of the São Paulo Art Map Award.
The young Sidoti became involved with art plunging into the world of
scenography and its special effects on disseminating projects of
popular culture. His encounter with the artist Antonio de Olinda
provoked his involvement with the painting. Expressive and audacious, it
offers us a very personal view of urban life inspired by São Paulo. (Jacques Ardies)
In 2006 is selected to participate in the Biennale Naif of Piracicaba
and a work of the artist is chosen to be reproduced in the traditional
calendar of Basf. In the year 2008 works as collaborator of the artist
Paulo Von Poser in the art painting for the ceiling of the foyer and stalls of the Teatro Guarany, in Santos-SP.
In the years 2011 and 2012, under the direction of José Celso
Martinez Corrêa, acted in the Teatro Oficina, in São Paulo, in the area
of video and music. In 2014, he held his first major solo exhibition at
the Pinacoteca Benedicto Calixto in Santos.
So far, he has participated in more than twenty collective exhibitions
and held two individual exhibitions. He directed and scrimped five video
documentaries and a short film, Nau insensible, 15 ' '/dcp/2014, Project contemgrated in 2013 through the short film stimulus award of the state of São Paulo. The
works of the painter Sidoti have aroused great interest by publishers
of educational books, especially in the area of geography and study of
cities. Dozens of images of his authorship have been licensed and
published in several publishers, such as: Saraiva, Moderna, FTD, Brazil,
IBEP, Palgrave Macmillan, among others.
