The Jacques Ardies Gallery is located in Sao Paulo and began its activities in August 1979 focused to the divulgation and promotion of Brazilian Naive art.
During these 30 years, many exhibitions were held, 105 individual exhibitions and 145 collectives in their own space and also in museums such as the MAC of Campinas, MAM of Goiânia, Espace Art 4 of Paris, Cultural area of IMF in Washington and at the Musée d´art Naïf Anatole Jakovsky in Nice France.
In 1998, Jacques Ardies released the book Arte Naif in Brazil with the collaboration of art critic Geraldo Edson de Andrade. In 2003, published the book on the Life and work of the artist Pernambuco Ivonaldo, with text of the professor and art critic Jorge Anthonio and Silva. Recently, a new publication on Naive Art in Brazil has been launched in portuguese and french version.
The gallery permanently exposes paintings and sculptures of 80 selected artists considered as representative of the Brazilian Naive art Mouvement.
