Description
Geometric abstraction is expressed here through a rigorous play of lines and planes. The composition rests on a precise balance. Diagonals structure the space and cut the canvas into distinct segments.
The chromatic choice focuses on shades of green. The contrast between light tones and denser areas creates a subtle depth. Each angle is thought out to guide the eye towards the center of the canvas.
The influence of minimalism is felt in the sobriety of the stroke. The artist uses acrylic to obtain sharp flat areas and a homogeneous surface. The precision of the drawing recalls an almost architectural approach to painting.
This piece explores the relationship between form and color. The visual rhythm arises from the repetition of angular motifs. The whole exudes a serene harmony based on symmetry and pure geometry. The texture of the support allows the grain of the canvas to show through the paint.
Presentation
Fadieses has always enjoyed drawing, but Life decided to make him go through the position of surveyor operator first. It was in his fifties that he chose to realize his childhood dream by settling down as a painter, thanks in part to the drastic restrictions due to Covid 19.
“He does Contemporary and Abstract to let people's sensitivity relate to Figurative" As Fadiese is curious, he tried different techniques: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Engraving, Illumination, Calligraphy, Marbling. These main influences are Vasarely, Duchamp, Mondrian, Klimt, Léger. He specialized in regular geometry, using only primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. On all supports: Plastic, Wood, Recycled Metal, Canvas, Cardboard etc…
One last thing: when he did his military service
(contingent 87/12), a music lover colleague nicknamed him Fadiese, and if like him, you haven't found out why, it turns out that it is the note closest to Sol! He found his strong, very nice humor and adopted this creative nickname…
