Under the Stars of New York, 2021

Ruslana Levandovska

This unique view of Brooklyn Bridge done with oil on linen is an imagined scenery inspired by views onto the city from DUMBO Soho House. It's a romantic interpretation of what one would've seen if the city lights were not polluting the air and thus erasing the stars we never see within the city limits. In this piece, we can see the beauty of the Milky Way, the wonder of the distant stars and the amazement of galaxies far far away. The Statue of Liberty is also seen in the corner of this piece, just under the bridge, as is seen from this vista point. This painting captures the magic spirit of New York and beyond it - into the shining stars. it is an incredibly unique view of this well known iconic bridge with great use of imagination and colour that is sure to bring never-ending amazement to one's life.

This piece uses high quality linen and bright highest quality pigments including historical significant ones such as semi-precious gem pigment Lapis Lazuli. This painting incorporates unique techniques of the Old Masters and New to achieve the the luminescence of the painting that is very attractive to all.
