Gunter Langer

Gunter Langer is a self-taught German artist. His great talent for drawing manifested itself from childhood.

He is fascinated by the transformation of emotions into lines. Its specialty are the unique and powerfully drawn lines. It gives her erotic nudes a special touch.

Albrecht Dürer, Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt are role models and standards. The challenge is the graphical representation of people. The goal is to transform the emotions into lines and this not only with portrait drawings but also with nude drawings. In order to find compositions of images, the artist works intensively with models. Its lines are drawn once and give them a high level of expressiveness. Reality is transformed into a uniquely drawn line in the complex process of abstraction. The application of paint is under the same sign.

For Gunter Langer, it is not just about the simple imitation of nature, nor the transformation of nature into raw shapes and colors, but the creation of an additional abstraction of emotions, with the implementation of which expressiveness is greatly enhanced.
