Canvas 180, 2022

Frantisek Florian

This acrylic painting on canvas is inspired by African, Mexican, and contemporary art directions. It predominantly features blue and red tones. The painting titled "CANVAS 182" depicts white figures with guns against a background inspired by Keith Haring's art. It is also influenced by Picasso's artwork "Massacre in Korea." The upper part of the painting is adorned with small bananas. The background draws heavy inspiration from Haring's artworks. High-quality and vibrant colors, such as Montana pigments and Amsterdam acrylic colors, are used, resulting in a fresh and bright appearance. The painting expresses jungle motifs in the night with blue leaves. Despite being solely an acrylic painting, it resembles collage artwork. The painting is highly influenced by Picasso, Matisse, Haring, and African art.
