Description
“Lettere 01” is an abstract work by Valeri Zacchedu, an artist known for exploring signs, calligraphy, and deconstructed writing.
The composition is built around a cluster of white glyphs, painted with broad brushstrokes that evoke letters or symbols belonging to an imaginary alphabet. These shapes—both gestural and graphic—overlap in a dense, almost hypnotic rhythm.
At the center of the canvas, a field of vivid, saturated blue emerges, acting as a chromatic anchor that supports and highlights the signs. This bright blue strongly contrasts with the deep black background framing the scene, intensifying the vibration of the white forms. The interplay creates a visual tension between order and chaos, reading and abstraction, matter and emptiness.
In this work, Zacchedu explores the expressive power of the sign reduced to its purest form. The “letters” do not convey a readable message; instead, they become an emotional language— a rhythmic pattern, a raw energy that invites contemplative viewing.
“” stands at the intersection of contemporary calligraphy, urban art, and lyrical abstraction, reflecting the artist’s ongoing research into gesture and the visual identity of language.
