The artwork may depict various visual elements that represent the transition into winter. It could showcase barren trees, falling leaves, or a landscape covered in a blanket of snow. The artist may use a subdued color palette, capturing the muted tones and ethereal atmosphere of the season.
Through "Winter is Coming," the artist may explore the deeper symbolism associated with winter. It can represent the passage of time, the cycles of nature, and the inevitability of change. The artwork may serve as a reminder that just as winter arrives, so too do periods of challenge, introspection, and personal growth in our own lives.
Moreover, "Winter is Coming" invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences and emotions connected to the season. It may evoke feelings of nostalgia for cozy moments by the fireplace, the beauty of snow-covered landscapes, or the introspection that winter's stillness brings. It also prompts contemplation on the resilience and adaptability required to navigate life's challenges.
The artwork may inspire viewers to embrace the transformative power of winter, acknowledging that even in the harshest of seasons, there is beauty and potential for renewal. It encourages us to find solace and strength in the quieter moments, to reflect on our journeys, and to prepare ourselves for the opportunities that lie ahead.
"Winter is Coming" is an artwork that captures the essence of transition, introspection, and the cyclical nature of life. It prompts reflection on the beauty and challenges associated with the arrival of winter, both in the natural world and within our own lives. The artwork serves as a reminder to embrace change, find resilience, and discover the hidden wonders that lie within the quieter moments of our journey.

Knotted headgear is usually the head of my figures. This is about my everyday encounter with my mother and other women while growing up. My mother is a trader and the best way she keeps her valuables is by knotting them at the edge of her wrapper. This was not peculiar to her alone but to every other woman of her generation. They also used the knotted wrapper for arranging and packaging clothes and other items when they had no bag for traveling. They would spread the wrapper on the floor, put their luggage in the middle, and knot the wrapper by tying the four edges together.
I employ this knotted wrapper as the head of my figures to delineate the head as the seat of valuable things; wisdom, knowledge, information, thoughts, and aspirations. My choice of female subjects is aimed at traveling through memory and nostalgia as well as keeping the relationship between the women and the knotted wrapper.
The body of works in this portfolio explores the relationship between humans and animals and the satisfaction and affection that humans derive from such. Lagos is a busy city where people spend hours on the road on their way to various places. They get home tired, famished, and thirsty for rest. Household pets thus become companions and friends that offer comfort and peace.
The portraits without pets are documentation of friends around me who offer peace and comfort in times of stress and trouble.
