Description
His resolutely naive style always immerses us in a narrative. We spend a moment with his characters, inspired by reality or completely fictitious, where humans and animals mingle in settings characteristic of the landscapes of his native country, Colombia.
“I admire artists who “draw badly” like Mogu Takahashi or Esther Pearl Watson. It attracts my attention more that the drawing transmits feelings, that it is technically perfect but tasteless. I don't connect with hyperrealism. I move forward, forgetting all the teaching at university: technical drawing, the human figure, perspective, etc. »
The result is this magnificent painting made in acrylic on 400 g paper.
