Georges Folmer (1895–1977) was a Luxembourgish painter and sculptor of the 20th century. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, influenced by Expressionism and Surrealism. His diverse body of work includes paintings, sculptures, and graphics, establishing him as a pioneer of modern art in Luxembourg.

Georges Folmer, born on November 19, 1895, in Nancy, France, was a versatile artist known for his contributions as a painter, sculptor, and art theorist. His artistic journey began at the École des Beaux-Arts de Nancy at the age of 15, where he received a multidisciplinary education in drawing, painting, sculpture, and architecture. Influenced by cubism, Folmer's compositions integrated mathematical calculations, aligning him with the Section d'Or artists. Later in his career, he embraced geometric abstraction, and his works, characterized by harmonious forms and vivid colors, gained recognition at prominent exhibitions like the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles.
