Description
This work, characterized by its plural geometric abstraction, immediately captures the eye with its bold arrangement of vivid shapes and colors. Triangles, circles, and rectangles overlap harmoniously, creating a vibrant dynamic. The color palette, dominated by blue, pink, yellow, and red, contrasts elegantly with the neutral gray background. Each element appears to be in motion, suggesting a perfect balance between chaos and order. The play of perspectives and planes evokes a captivating depth, prompting reflection on space and perception. The artist's signature, discreetly positioned in the lower right corner, attests to the authenticity of this unique composition. This painting embodies a timeless modernity, where abstraction comes to life through carefully orchestrated geometric forms, inviting the viewer to a visual and emotional exploration.
Presentation
Thierry Corpet - French artist born in 1965, lives and works in Corsica
At the crossroads of visual arts and music, Thierry Corpet draws inspiration from William Burroughs' "cut-up" technique to create hybrid works, where superimpositions and geometric forms translate the emotions arising from listening. Without claiming synesthesia, he seeks to capture the ephemeral and give tangible form to what is usually perceived by the ear.
Each canvas, each sculpture becomes his visual score — an invitation to see his perception of music, to feel the forms and to listen with the eyes.
His work is regularly exhibited in France and internationally. In particular, it was presented at the "Comparaisons 2026" exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, in the Geometric Abstraction group.
