Description
This artwork is a vivid and striking example of abstract expressionism, characterized by its intricate and energetic composition. It features a dynamic interplay of geometric shapes, including spheres, cones, and pyramids, all meticulously arranged against a dark, textured background. The use of vibrant colors—pinks, blues, yellows, and greens—creates a sense of movement and depth, conveying an otherworldly, cosmic atmosphere. At the center, a large, circular form dominates, acting as a focal point amidst a flurry of smaller, interlocking shapes. The precision in the arrangement of the elements suggests a harmonious balance despite the apparent chaos. The artist employs a pointillist technique, with tiny, carefully placed dots that blend seamlessly to construct larger forms and gradients. This meticulous detailing adds texture and complexity, inviting the viewer to explore the artwork closely. One of the unique aspects of this piece is its ability to evoke a sense of wonder and imagination, encouraging viewers to interpret it in multiple ways. The various shapes seemingly orbit around one another, suggesting celestial bodies in a universe of the artist's creation. This celestial theme is reinforced by the inclusion of swirling patterns and overlapping colors that mimic cosmic phenomena like nebulas or starfields. Overall, the artwork stands as a testament to the power of abstraction, utilizing both form and color to transcend the ordinary and transport the audience to a vibrant, harmonious universe.
Presentation
I graduated from the Fine Arts Institute in Romania. After completing my studies, I began working for a renowned porcelain manufacturer, where I designed and painted porcelain vases. After immigrating to the United States with my husband, in New Jersey, I worked for a hand-painted tile company and eventually became their lead designer.
Together with my husband, we started our own tile company, where I created large custom murals — landscapes, flowers, and other decorative pieces. After my husband passed away, I began painting in oil and acrylic on canvas. My greatest gift in life is my talent for painting.
