Description
The word "Earth" here can be interpreted in three ways, they can work equally well
one than the other;
"Earth" in the sense of "earthly soil", "Earth" in the sense of "earthy matter" or "Earth" in the sense of "planet Earth".
It is a semi-abstract, cubist work. Simple geometric shapes
made from straight and curved lines.
Sophie wanted to focus on contrast, therefore light, and color.
There is no intention of any realism of the subject.
The shades are mainly autumnal; mostly yellow ochre, blue/green and gold.
The chamfers of the canvas are painted anthracite gray.

Presentation
“I am for a reconnection with the Living; My artistic quest is to express the beauty and joy of being connected to the Earth.
In love with our blue planet, Sophie follows her inspiration wherever it comes from, as long as the common thread is, mainly the Environment, more precisely the Natural Elements. She uses contrast to bring out the light, tries to get to the essential, with the grace of the natural.
Sophie is a French artist, born in Paris in 1964. Listed at i-CAC, present on the international art market for 20 years.
Graduated as a “decorative painter" from the Art et Métier Institute for Decorative Mural Art;
Frescoes and Trompe-l'oeil.
