Description
This painting will come to you stretched on a wooden stretcher and completely ready to be placed in the interior.ABOUT THE ARTWORKIn 'Little Woman', I reflect on the inner strength and untamed spirit captured so vividly in the quote: 'You are the gull, Jo, strong and wild, fond of the storm and the wind, flying far out to sea, and happy all alone.' This painting is an homage to the fierce independence of a woman's soul, to the Jo in all of us who dares to embrace the storm and find solace in solitude. It's a celebration of the solitary journey towards self-discovery and the brave pursuit of one's own course, defying the tranquil safety of the harbor for the exhilarating unknown of the sea.
Presentation
Dasha Pogodina is an experienced Ukrainian artist based in Switzerland whose paintings have been exhibited in Ukraine, Slovenia and Switzerland.
She describes her distinctive figurative works as being about the "here and now" and celebrating the moving moment. Having been forced to flee her country twice due to war, she finds solace and strength in the works of renowned impressionist, Claude Monet.
Pogodina most often creates with oils on canvas.
