Her room, a sanctuary, a haven to retreat,
Where walls absorbed her secrets, like a faithful confidant sweet.
With each passing moment, her solitude became profound,
A gentle refuge where her inner self was found.
Through the window's glass, the world beyond did peep,
Yet she found solace in the silence she chose to keep.
Her thoughts, her dreams, her hopes intertwined,
Creating a world within her room, transcending space and time.
Though solitary, her spirit burned with an inner fire,
Igniting passions that only solitude could inspire.
In the solitude of her room, she found her voice,
A symphony of introspection, a melody of choice.
And as the hours passed, in the solitude's embrace,
She discovered the strength within, a quiet grace.
For in the depths of her room, where she sat alone,
She found a universe, a sanctuary to call her own.

About Artist
Odunayo John Iyiola is a Nigerian born artist based in Ibadan (b. 1995). He discovered his talent in Art after high school. He went on to develop his talent at TOPFAT Art Gallery Ibadan in 2014. Odunayo relocated to Accra Ghana in 2018 where he works as a studio assistant.
Odunayo started professionally as a full-time studio artist in 2018. He expressed his thoughts on canvas with oil and acrylic painting. His works are concerned with human daily experience and the struggle of people of color.
He's influenced by artists like; Tope Fatumibi (Nigeria) and Baffoe Bonnie Billy (Ghana).
